Web-Based Application

With a client composed of 10 of the world's financial leaders and an objective to define the new standard for securities lending, EquiLend presented many challenges. Samples from this $10 million securities lending project include:

These examples result from my work as lead interaction designer for this project.

Interaction Model

Interaction Model

An Interaction Model defines the fundamental way users will interact with the data. A colleague and I brainstormed ideas for six potential models, which I presented to the client. The sketch on the left shows the final Interaction Model, which incorporates the best ideas from our original models.

EquiLend Page Flows

Page Flows

Page Flows map out the page logic. As these illustrations show, the logic for securities lending can be quite complex. My background in computer science helped me understand the logic needed for this project.

EquiLend Page Schematic

Page Schematics

Page Schematics, often called wire frames, illustrate a page's basic layout, organization and structure. For this project, we created over 200 page schematics for six different business processes.

This schematic shows how we used Internet Explorer's iframes to display more data on a page. Iframes allow horizontal and vertical scrolling within a page.
